, the international flight arrives in Islamabad in the early morning. After some breakfast and a few hours rest you will take the spectacular flight to Skardu, passing close to the peak of Nanga Parbat (8,126m).

Overview
Base Camp is located in a comfortable open grass area close to a good water supply with plenty of space for individual tents plus a kitchen tent and mess tent. Most of the porters leave from Base Camp to return to their villages. However we keep a number of staff with us for the duration of the climb including local guides who know the mountain, High Altitude Porters (HAP’s) to carry our equipment on the mountain, and a cook team. 8 days are set aside for the climbing programme (described below). After the climb it takes an early morning start from Base Camp to return to Skardu in a single day. 3-4 hrs hiking leads to the roadhead. It is then a 1hr drive to reach Shigar town where we will have lunch at the historic Shigar Fort. A further 1hr drive takes us to Skardu where there is time to enjoy a hot shower and get ready for the flight to Islamabad the next day. Once in Islamabad there will be opportunities for relaxing and sightseeing and a chance to celebrate the success of the climb in fine style at one of the best restaurants in the city. The team departs from Islamabad the next day.
